Iberian Quartet is founded by Pedro Melo and Luis Coelho, two saxophone players from Portugal, and Antoine Flores Gracia and Patricia Aller Sastre, two saxophone players from Spain. Since all the members are from the Iberian Peninsula, the name of the saxophone quartet makes reference to it.

In 2016, while attending masterclasses in Porto, Antoine, Pedro and Luis met over there. Their saxophone sound and their spontaneous personality was rapidly noteworthy, and soon they experimented the idea of playing all together in a saxophone quartet. Patricia, whom Antoine had met before and was a good friend, was proposed to be part of this saxophone quartet, and she undoubtedly accepted to join and found Iberian Quartet.
During the following years, Iberian Quartet performed mainly in Spain and Portugal: Guipúzcoa, Zaragoza, Tenerife, and Oporto, among others. They had the opportunity to be part of the VIII Festival Internacional de Música de Piantón (Asturias) in 2018, and they founded the same year and the following one the I Curso Internacional de Música “Villa de Arafo” (Tenerife). In 2019, they played as soloist the piece “Spotlights” by Thomas Doss, with the Banda Filarmónica Nivaria in Arafo (Tenerife).
